Typomundus 20: A project of The International Center for Typographic Arts (ICTA)

Typomundus 20: A project of The International Center for Typographic Arts (ICTA), 1966. Reinhold Publishing Corporation, New York, USA. 8.75 x 11.75, n.p. with English, French and German text.

Published in conjunction with the first internationally judged exhibition of world typography, Typomundus 20 illustrates in black and white over 500 entries (of 10,000 received) representing a significant selection of advertising, packaging, posters, books, trade marks and more since 1900. Text by 12 jury members: Horst Erich Wolter, Olle Eksell, Hans Neuburg, Anton Stankowski, Lou Dorfsman, Carl Dair, Piet Zwart, Roger Excoffon, Hiromu Hara, Max Caflisch, Oldrich Hlavsa and Hermann Zapf.

With a short note by Paul Rand (Honorary Chairman) and Aaron Burns (Director of ICTA) and Marilyn Hoffner (Publicity ICTA). Despite it's omission of many countries, there are many designer's i was unaware of and Typomundus 20 still stands as a valuable record of sixty-five years of international typography.

A fine book and nearly fine dust jacket with only a hint of wear and a few small nicks and tears.
