Hermann Eidenbenz Typographic Prints, c. 1945. 23.5 x 19.25 flat, 9.5 x 11.75 folded, single-sided and signed in plate by Eidenbenz.
The (2) large, typographic prints show a display face featuring an upper and lowercase alphabet in one weight with numerals and some punctuation; each with an excellent example of a letter construction. Printing similar to a cyanotype blueprint.
The typeface is not identified by name, although the letters appear similar to Eidenbenz's Graphique (without the shadow) also set entirely in capitals and issued by Haas'sche Schriftgiesserei AG, Münchenstein, Switzerland in c. 1945. "LA—SCHRIFT" is written in red pencil on the back lower margin of the uppercase print and provides a possible clue to the origin of these artifacts.
Very good prints, folded a bit unevenly with light wear and toning near the edges and the folds when opened flat.
