Short preface by the Zürich city president (Stadtpräsident) with an Introduction by Willy Rotzler. A quality production devoted to the visual development of Zürich. Profusely illustrated in black and white (some color) featuring printed works for municipalities, schools, museums, tourist offices and other arts and cultural institutions with captions and bibliographic information accompanying most works. Designer and contents index towards the back. An early trilingual Swiss publication to celebrate the emerging role of Swiss graphic design in cultural sectors. The earliest book from the excellent and important ABC Verlag series.

A very good hardcover with light scuffing to the glazed black covers and edges and a vertical crease to the front board. With two identical DISPLAY & DESIGN DEPT. IBM DATA PROCESSING DIVISION stamps to the front and back pastedown. Interior pages are clean and tight.
