In conjunction with our 2006 self-initiated project, the Alvin Lustig Website (relaunched in 2026), we released a limited edition set of four screen prints featuring our favorite New Directions, New Classics Series book jackets designed by Lustig. The prints were individually stamped and numbered by hand in an edition of 100 and sold out quickly. We're offering a few of the last remaining Artist Proofs from the original printing.

This is an Artist Proof (AP) set of the original edition, only 30 Artist Proofs were made. Stamped and numbered by hand, see numbers below. Each print is 2-color with an image size of 11” x 15 3/4” printed on 16” x 20” paper.

Screen printed with care by Master Printer, Luther Davis at Axelle Fine Art, Brooklyn, NY (now Powerhouse Arts). Colors were mixed by hand to match the original jackets from the 1940’s and printed on high quality 100% Cotton (lightly textured, soft white) Archival Coventry Rag (335gsm) using water-based inks and enamel black. The results are accurate and authentic!
