107 Graphic Designers of AGI (Alliance Graphique Internationale), November 18 – December 12, 1975. Presented by Olivetti in cooperation with the Art Gallery of Ontario held at Toronto Dominion Bank Tower, Observation Gallery (55th Floor), Toronto. 19.25 x 27.5 (large size), printed on glossy stock. Design by Franco Grignani.

Celebrated for his distinguished career, Grignani assiduously experimented with optical designs and photographic manipulation and their effects on typographic distortion and legibility. This poster, which is a bit more restrained than other experiments, rejects the logic of a fixed logo. Instead, Grignani skews and distorts the letters until the type becomes an image and the trademark is presented in a new, unusual manner. “Typography is like music, it must reach the senses of the listener and viewer,” Grignani once said.

An uncommon poster in near fine condition with light wear and a few small crease along the margins; a fresh and bright copy. Poster will be rolled and shipped in a tube.
