This stapled, paper promotional brochure provides a showcase for Mead paper products and contemporary graphics. It includes (11) double-page spreads featuring Danne’s graphic impressions of New York City in black and white and color utilizing: photography, montage, original illustration and typography. Imagery featured: Central Park Lake, Architecture and Signage, Rolls Royce, People-watching, Garbage Can, Barrymore Theatre, NYC Hot Dog [Pop Art!], Playground basketball and more.
The back matter includes a short bio on Danne, photographers credits and text promoting the coated papers used (Mead Mark Cover and Mead Black & White Enamel Text). An expressive design by Richard Danne who practiced in New York City for 33 years (with Gips & Danne and Danne & Blackburn); most notable for his important work with partner Bruce Blackburn on NASA's expansive and coordinated design system.
A very good, lightly handled softcover with light scratches to the white covers and a small bump near the binding. Interior pages are still bright. With a paper manufacturer’s (Clampitt Paper Company) sticker on back cover.
