“The International Typeface Corporation (ITC) presents to users of typography its first general specimen book of types designed for current technologies. The volume covers typefaces and ornaments produced since the founding of ITC in 1970.

These styles are a blend of both new and classic designs. Among the contemporary characteristics is a consistently large lowercase x-height. The text/display families are offered in a wide range of weights, and many styles include alternate and swash characters. Families designed for both text and display are exhibited on facing pages, while those intended chiefly for display appear toward the back of the book and are shown in larger sizes only.

Due to the tendency of typesetting technologies to accommodate more and more comprehensive font schemes, ITC's most recent designs include a wider coverage of foreign accents and in selected weights and styles, small caps and old-stye figures. in certain cases where these are now missing, they will be supplied in the future.”

An easily abused volume in near fine condition with some light wear to the foot and fore edges. Interior unmarked and binding tight; well preserved. An excellent resource!
